LOVE THAT MAN OF MINE! He is never too old to go fishing with his dad & brothers!
They dream fish they catch fish they become fish! Our husbands are die hard outdoorsman!!! One thing is for sure. We will never starve! Go get em boys! Alaska Trip 2021. Can you guess which one is my husband? What a fun day we had! A memory I will always cherish. My mom has late stage dementia and she picks up my books often to look at. She doesn't remember I am her daughter but for some reason my books give her comfort. She has trouble reading but she loves the illustrations. It means a lot to me that I can still comfort her through my books. This photo is one of the last times we had together that she still knew I was her daughter.
My Brother-in-law Gabe, bless his kind heart, took my husband, his dad & other brothers fishing in Alaska for two weeks. Who is catching more fish, them or the bears? I don't care for salmon, so if the bear wins I am ok with it. Now the halibut is a different story. I really like halibut so I am expecting results! LOL
Yesterday I had planned on working on my next book, “Covert Canines.” That did not happen because I was reading some articles regarding websites and stumbled upon some new information I was unaware of. Needless to say I had to work on my website. It couldn’t wait one day. Once I see how I can improve I have no choice but to act upon that new found knowledge. The internet is a blessing and a curse, all rolled into one giant pot of information. I spent all day adding CAPTIONS to all the photos posted on my site. It seems that alternate text helps search engines help people find you. To a degree I envy the younger generation. Because they have grown up with computers. I got my first computer at the age of forty. My first art program at age forty two I think it was. Oh yes, I was overwhelmed at first to say the least. I have to give myself a pat on the back because I persevered. Fear, if you allow it, can keep you bogged down. Fear, will never let you reach your full potential. Now at this point in my life at age sixty seven, I would have a hard time if I had to give up my computer and all my glorious art programs. How did I survive without one for so long?
As kids we did actually say that. My mom has late stage dementia and she picks up my books often to look at. She doesn't remember I am her daughter but for some reason my books give her comfort. She has trouble reading but she loves the illustrations. It means a lot to me that I can still comfort her through my books.
We are invincible! We are incredible! We are MENOPAUSALGODZILLA!!
I believe we should embrace life. Age does not hold us back. We hold ourselves back. I will be 68 in September, no telling what I might do. I know I will keep writing, illustrating and publishing as that keeps my mind active. My imagination is massive!
I had a hard time picking a name as they were all good and I thank everyone for their time. I enjoyed seeing all the choices submitted. So without further ado person to get a shout out is LGM from Pagosa Springs, CO. I was asked to only use the initials as this person does not like the limelight. Here is an update on writing my book. I am on chapter six. I am surprised I have gotten this far with all the interruptions from my husband. Bless his heart.
I traveled all over the world when I was younger. It allowed me to see just how precious the United States of America is. I am a proud American. We have it pretty darn good! Love each other always.
